Llama drama!

Imagine driving somewhere and seeing a llama run right before your eyes! Well if you lived in Sun City, Arizona this could have happened to you. A couple days ago, two llamas were let loose setting police officers on a wild goose chase - or wild llama chase. Footage on 10news.com shows the two llamas, one white and the other black, running through the streets of this town. The incident quickly sparked attention on the internet, where there was multiple hashtags and even a Twitter account surrounding the commotion.

The llamas were later lassoed and caught. It was later found out that a "Cop'er Star Llamas" rancher brought the animals to an assisted living facility to visit an ex-llama rancher as a form of therapy. The llamas were spooked by this and two out of three managed to escape. The two llamas caused quite a disturbance, the white one usually being the leader of the two.

According to Melissa Cokely, a rancher who has worked closely with animals like alpacas, llamas, and goats at her family's farm for years, llamas can be stubborn and personable. She also said chasing llamas isn't a good idea as they will think of it as a game to avoid getting caught. "They're a lot smarter than what people think," she said. "You'll wear yourself out before you catch up with them." Although it is hard to catch these speed-racers, the two llamas were apprehended before they could cause further damage.
