Who doesn't love chicken wings? I know I do. Chicken wings are a super versatile dish that can be prepared for all sorts of occasions, like a family meal, Super Bowl party, or just for a snack. You can also go out and eat chicken wings! There are many well known wing restaurants like Wings N Things, Buffalo Wild Wings, KFC, or others! Not only are there numerous ways to eat chicken wings but there are a variety of type of chicken wings to choose from! Fried, buffalo, BBQ, grilled, baked, seasoned, the options seem almost endless!
One type of chicken wing that most people are familiar with are buffalo wings. These spicy wings are delicious with ranch or a side of vegetables and bread sticks. You can find so many recipes online on how to cook them and they would make a appetizing snack at a party if you like spicy foods! You can find recipes for these wings on allrecipes.com or foodnetwork.com. There are many other different recipes for buffalo wings, you just have to find what fits your preferences. If you aren't a great cook you can get buffalo wings at restaurants too, there are several restaurants that offer these wings, some even let you choose how spicy you want them.
Another popular type of wings are fried wings. These crispy wings can be prepared different type of ways, whether its simply fried, salted, or glazed. My personal favorite are a traditional dish, homemade fried chicken wings glazed with fish sauce. Although it sounds unappealing, they are actually delicious. You can find a recipe on how to make these on eatlittlebird.com. Another fried chicken wing you might find in Asian restaurants are salt and pepper wings. These wings are delicious alone or with rice. You can find the recipe to these online or try them next time you get Asian food! However if you're just craving tradition fried wings, all you need is some breading and oil. If you need a quicker approach, just visit KFC or Popeyes!
Although there are other ways to prepare chicken wings, the last one I am going to talk about are grilled chicken wings. Grilled wings are a healthier approach on chicken wings, unlike their deep fried buffalo or fried relatives. With grilled wings there is less oil involved, and you can still achieve crispiness. Healthyeating.sfgate.com reveals, "Grilling or baking wings instead of deep-frying them crisps the skin, and selecting a vinegar or mustard-based barbecue sauce instead of a more sugary glaze can reduce calories." Grilled wings can be delicious and healthy.
Many people love the different type of wings. On article called "The Chicken Wings Boom" on nytimes.com, Chaz Brown, a 32 year old chef in Philadelphia, has dreams about chick wings. "Mr. Brown has had visions of ethereal flocks of crispy chicken wings. 'I've definitely seen wings flying out of people's heads,' he said." Also on hubpages.com, 48% of voters preferred fried wings, 24% Buffalo, 13% Barbecue, 7% Teriyaki, and 8% other. There are many different wings to love and people who love them as well.

Haha, thank you Kristina. I really enjoyed reading about your opinion on chicken wings. I sincerely admire your ability to write about such a frivolous topic such as chicken wings. Reading this really put me in a joyous and hungry mood. I also how you add variety to your response by digging deeper into the topic; talking about different ways to prepare chicken wings, other people's views on chicken wings, and elaborating on the different kinds of chicken wings.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to disagree on your article. Chicken wings are a great dish to include, but what's even better is rice. White rice. In the everyday meal, more countries worldwide include a healthy serving of rice to their meal- not chicken wings. By encouraging the consumption of chicken wings, you are corrupting the world. Less people will buy rice for their meals, and the market will collapse.
